Gretchen at Claudine Baretto, magsasama sa isang teleserye!

Although nauna nang sinabi ni Gretchen Baretto sa press na hindi muna ito tatanggap ng teleserye o film projects dahil hindi niya kakayanin ang anumang taping na usually ay tumatagal nang magdamagan, kamakailan lang din ay ibinalita nito bago ang kanyang pag-alis papuntang Amerika na may teleserye na nga siyang inoohan sa puder ng ABS-CBN.

Excited si Greta sa pagbabalik teleserye niya dahil isang exciting character ang gagampanan niya sa Claudine Baretto soap sa primetime. Bukod sa literal na magkapatid din sila sa story ng naturang drama, aminado si Greta na marami siyang matututunan sa nakakababatang kapatid na nagkamit na rin ng samu't saring awards para sa kanyang mga ginampanang papel.

Hindi pa man pinal ang lahat sa naturang teleserye, nangako naman si Greta na tiyak na kapananabikan ng mga Kapamilya ang kanilang pagsasama ni Claudine sa Primetime Bida.

Dextrocardia

I wonder how God really constructed each of our lives. How he meticulously choose every details that should be part of our lives. Imagine, everyday, we all have our own struggles and victories and we all have our own share of tears and laughter.

I have this so unique name that people mistakenly read as /ef-jords/ or /forj/ or /ef-jordan/ or /fyorjan/ or /fyorj/. Friends even call me on different nicknames just to let go of my name. Calling me George or Billy is easier though.

Perhaps, I have the most complicated life you could ever imagine. Taking the engineering field when in fact, I was dreaming of becoming part of the broadcasting field since high school. Studying at the same time working in one the most stable call center company in the country. I even joined contradicting principle-driven organizations in college - religious and community service versus radical groups.

Just this week, after our company released the Annual Physical Exam results, I was told by our team leader to drop by at the clinic for some discussions regarding the result. I was actually absent the whole week prior to the release of APE due to acute tonsilitis. This time, the doctor told me that I have Dextrocardia.

According to Wikipedia, Dextrocardia refers to the heart being situated on the right side of the body. Our clinic doctor told me that its a rare case. I was too surprise to find out that I have this abnormality since birth. My mom didn't know it either after relaying her the APE result.

I was told to undergo Cardio test for some examinations on Dextrocardia's complications to my body. Thanks to IntelliCare, our healthcard for shouldering all the tests fee.

A while ago, I just went to IntelliCare UN for the Cardio test. The doctor told me that everything's normal and that he can't do anything about me having Dextrocardia. But to make sure that there are no complications, I was referred to Manila Doctors Hospital to undergo 2D ECHO for another examination. This time, they'll be examining other organs connected to my heart for some problems relating to Dextrocardia.

According to Wikipedia, cardiac ECHO uses standard ultrasound techniques to image two-dimensional slices of the heart. It can also produce accurate assessment of the velocity of blood and cardiac tissue at any arbitrary point using pulsed or continuous wave Doppler ultrasound. This allows assessment of cardiac valve areas and function, any abnormal communications between the left and right side of the heart, any leaking of blood through the valves (valvular regurgitation), and calculation of the cardiac output as well as the ejection fraction.

Imagine how God made these things possible. That he had to make another unique characteristic to my body, to my life. I'm not blaming him for this, it's too amazing to think that despite the heartaches I've incurred in past love experiences, I have this literally heart problem.

Hopefully, everything will be fine. I'm scheduled to have the 2D ECHO on Saturday next week at Manila Doctors.

Bea Alonzo in And I Love You So

Opisyal nang inilabas ngayon ang pinakabagong pelikulang handog ng Star Cinema. Sa pagkakataong ito, itatambal naman ang isa sa mga primetime princessess na si Bea Alonzo kina Sam Milby at Derek Ramsay.

Ganito rin ang ginawa ng Star Cinema sa katambal ni Bea na si John Lloyd noon kung saan ipinareha siya kay Sarah Geronimo. Let's see how well this movie can get on its first week. Ipalalabas ang pelikulang And I Love You So sa August 12, 2009 nationwide.

My Reactions to Freddie's statement vs Charisse and Arnel Pineda

Umani nang samu't saring reaksyon ang mga naging pahayag ni Freddie Aguilar sa international Pinoy singing sensations Charisse at Arnel Pineda. Hati ang mga naging reaksyon ng mga tao nang maging tampok ng samu't saring diskusyon sa radyo at iba pang talakayan ang usapang originality sa pagkanta.

Ayon kay Freddie, “Ang sabi ko, kaya tayo binabansagang Pilipino na unggoy ay dahil manggagaya tayo. Ako ang magtatanong sa lahat ng singer na Pilipino, bakit puro banyaga ang kinakanta ninyo? ‘Yan ang tanong ko, hindi ‘yung tinatanong n’yo sa akin kung bakit ko kayo tinatawag na unggoy. Kayo ang nagpatawag na unggoy dahil gaya-gaya kayo.”

Maaalalang minsang tinuring ng singer na si Mariah Carey na 'monkey' ang Asia's Song Bird na si Regine Velasquez, ngayon, kapwa Pilipino ang nagbansag nito sa kapwa artist.

Kung tutuusin, may punto nga naman si Ka Freddie sa kanyang mga itinuring pero, not in defense kina Charisse at Arnel, siguro, baguhan pa lang naman din sila sa industriya and they're still trying to make names sa ngayon. Hindi rin naman siguro tatanggapin ng madla sa US kung wala silang originality. May sariling diskarte rin naman ang dalawa sa kani-kanilang singing styles. At, siguro, magkaiba lang sila ng way kung papaano ideliver yung originality ng song compared to Ka Freddie na sinasabing dapat original songs ang inaawit nina Charisse at Arnel. Isa pa, tingin ko naman, Charisse and Arnel are just grabbing the opportunity. Let's give them the chance na OPM naman ang iintroduce nila in the future. Mahirap naman kasing sumugal kung baguhan ka palang and you're trying to give the odd things sa US. Di ba?

Sandara Park in Korea

Tuluyan na ngang gumagawa ng pangalan ang minsan na nating tinuring na Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas. Bilang bahagi ng isang girl group sa Korea na 2NE1, tila nabubuhay nang muli ang career ni Sandara Park, this time, sa home country niya.

Sa isang talk show sa Korea, matapos magpakitang gilas isa-isa ang miyembro ng 2NE1, pinerform ni Sandara ang naging popular na novelty song niya dito sa Pilipinas na 'In or Out'. Ayon sa balita, hindi man maintindihan ng mga Koreano ang liriko ng kanta, tila nakiindak naman sila sa awiting nagpasikat kay Sandara sa mga Pilipino.

Piolo, Dingdong and Eugene in Kimidora

For the very first time, two of today's primetime kings joined forces together for their very first movie. Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual is the man behind the movie 'Kimidora' which will star both Kapuso artists Eugene Domingo and Dingdong Dantes.

After Piolo's first produced independent film 'Maynila' which amazingly made it to the Cannes Film Festival, Kimidora is his next project which will put one of today's greatest comedienne Eugene Domingo on her first title role. She even has a kissing scene with her leading man, Dingdong.

Star Cinema, ABS-CBN's film outfit, to support Piolo Pascual's project, will be the one in-charge as distributor of the movie.

Boring!

The best word to describe this day is... BORING! And I mean it. Though I was told that I had to rest for 2 days, it's still not enough to convince me to be jailed here.

I don't really miss going back to school. But by just merely thinking of the loads I left when I started leaving classes because of this tonsilitis, I really have to be back. I really have to explain everything to them and present the medical certificate from my doctor.

I don't really miss going back to office. But by just merely thinking of my salary this cut-off, I really have to be back. No money equals sadness. So I have to double time next week in order to get back all the hours I lost when I got this sickness.

Do you know what I really miss? It's the time that I was just an ordinary student with an ordinary life and an ordinary routine. I miss having weekends free of loads. I miss doing assignments the way I did them before. I miss hanging out with my classmates during break times. I miss sleeping 8 hours straight. I miss our residence in Bulacan where I use to visit every weekends. I miss having the normal life that I used to have.

I'm not a celebrity but I have the most complicated schedule, I think. And most of the time, I don't understand why do I have to be here in the first place? I know its all because of my decisions and dreams. I know its because of my wild imaginations. But I'm getting tired of doing this. I'm getting so tired of facing every day with the same faces and the same places. It's too tiring! I want something new.

But since I still have commitments, I can't just let go. I need to finish these first. And I need to look for that new that I'm referring to. I need to open a new chapter in my life for it not to be boring. But how?

All I need is rest. But the world seems so busy to give me the rest that I needed. My bed - the world, the dimension that I imagined I'm living in, the dream, the fantasy - all are busy doing their own job. And for me? There's nothing left but to wait when will these present struggles end.
